In Helldivers 2, Super Credits are a vital premium currency that can unlock a variety of cosmetic items and, most importantly, Premium Warbonds. While they can be purchased with real money, Super Credits are also available to any dedicated Helldiver who knows where to look. This guide will detail all the ways to acquire Super Credits and provide the most effective farming strategy to maximize your earnings for the glory of Super Earth.

What are Super Credits Used For?

Super Credits are the in-game currency used for two primary purposes:

  • Premium Warbonds: These are the game’s battle passes, which offer a host of exclusive armor sets, weapons, emotes, and other cosmetics. Each Premium Warbond costs 1,000 Super Credits.
  • The Superstore: This is a rotating, in-game storefront that offers unique cosmetic armor, helmets, and capes. The selection changes regularly, providing a new set of items to purchase each week.

How to Earn Super Credits

There are two primary ways to earn Super Credits without spending any money:

1. Finding Them During Missions: This is the most common and consistent way to earn Super Credits. They are found at Minor Points of Interest (POIs) scattered across the map. These POIs can be crashed pods, locked cargo containers, or two-person bunkers. They typically contain a small pile of 10 Super Credits, but very rarely, you may find a stash of 100.

2. Unlocking Them from Warbonds: The free “Helldivers Mobilize” Warbond, which is available to all players, contains a total of 750 Super Credits. By playing missions and earning Medals, you can progress through this Warbond to unlock these credits, which can then be saved toward your first Premium Warbond.

The Best Way to Farm Super Credits

While Super Credits can be found on any difficulty, the most efficient way to farm them is by focusing on speed and map exploration. The best-known farming method leverages low-difficulty missions and a strategic approach to maximize your chances of finding Super Credit caches quickly.

Here is the step-by-step method to farm Super Credits:

  • Choose a Low-Difficulty Mission: Select a mission on Trivial (Difficulty 1) or Easy (Difficulty 2). These missions have a lower enemy presence, which allows you to move across the map and search for POIs without being constantly interrupted by combat. The maps on these difficulties are also much smaller, making them easier to clear quickly.
  • Focus on Exploration, Not Objectives: Your goal is to find Super Credits, not to complete the mission. Immediately upon landing, ignore the main objective and instead, focus on a full-map sweep. Points of Interest often appear on your compass as a ‘?’, but you can also spot them by looking for visual cues like blinking yellow lights, strange rock formations, or smoking craters.
  • Bring a Friend: Farming with at least one other player is significantly more efficient. This allows you to split up and cover the map faster, doubling your chances of finding POIs. It also allows you to open bunkers, which requires two players to activate the door’s control panels and often contain multiple loot spawns, including Super Credits.
  • Gear for Mobility: To speed up your runs, use a light armor build that gives you a higher stamina and movement speed. Stratagems like the Jump Pack can also be incredibly useful for traversing difficult terrain and reaching high-up locations where POIs might be hidden.
  • No Extraction Needed: A crucial element of this farming method is that you do not need to extract to keep the Super Credits you find. Once you pick up a stack of Super Credits, they are immediately added to your account and to the accounts of all your teammates. This means you can simply abandon the mission once you have finished exploring the map, saving valuable time.

This method allows for rapid-fire farming, where you can load into a mission, quickly clear the map of all POIs, and then abandon the mission to jump into the next one. While it may not contribute to the overall Galactic War effort, it is the most effective way for players to earn a significant amount of Super Credits without spending any money, allowing you to purchase the Premium Warbonds and the stylish armor you need to truly serve Democracy in style.
